چکیده
Seasonal variation in proximate composition immature (<40 mm length) and mature (>40 mm) green mussel (Perna viridis) from Moheshkhali channel of the Bay Bengal was studied for one year. The percentage values (dry weight) protein, carbohydrate, ash lipid mussels were found to be varied 52.73 70%, 11.02 33.24 %, 9.05 14.22% 4.52 7.89% respectively. While contained 54.42-64.17%, 17.33-30.11%, 9.59-11.55% 5.88-6.95% However, no significant noticed between mussels. showed prominent seasonal than ones. higher during pre-monsoon post-monsoon periods lower monsoon period both Significant positive correlation protein lipid, ash, negative carbohydrate found.

Subcellular controls of silver biokinetics in the green mussel Perna viridis from two hydrographic zones
The roles of subcellular distribution on silver (Ag) accumulation and elimination in the green mussel Perna viridis collected from 2 hydrographical zones (harbour vs. estuarine) in Hong Kong during 3 different seasons were investigated. Ag concentration and biokinetics varied widely between the 2 zones, but were less variable among the different seasons (pre-wet, wet and dry). The harbour popul...

Tenualosa ilisha from Chittagong and Khulna regions of the Bay of Bengal was analyzed which showed that proximate compositions varied among the different portions of fish body. The highest value of moisture found in dorsal portion of the fish (Khulna region) whereas the lowest value of moisture found in caudal portion of the fish (Chittagong region) were 56.59 and 54.69%, ...
متن کاملGlycosylated hydroxytryptophan in a mussel adhesive protein from Perna viridis.
The 3,4-dihydroxyphenyl-l-alanine (Dopa)-containing proteins of mussel byssus play a critical role in wet adhesion and have inspired versatile new synthetic strategies for adhesives and coatings. Apparently, however, not all mussel adhesive proteins are beholden to Dopa chemistry. The cDNA-deduced sequence of Pvfp-1, a highly aromatic and redox active byssal coating protein in the green mussel ...

The short-term (acute) and long-term (subchronic) toxicity profile, mean lethal dose 50 (LD50), and no-observed-adverse-effect level (NOAEL) of a nutraceutical formulation developed from green mussel Perna viridis, which showed in vitro and in vivo anti-inflammatory properties, were evaluated in the present study. The formulation was administered to the male and female Wistar rats at graded dos...
